Christy Prior

What month is your birthday?

November

What are your current side projects or passions?

I teach yoga, surf, grow (food) and garden.

How many years have you been snowboarding?

Since 2005

What´s your home mountain?

Cardrona and Treble Cone, NZ

What´s the reason you keep snowboarding?

Good old fashion FUN, mostly. Nothing beats ripping around the mountain with a bunch of friends.

I love the way you can get lost in the art of snowboarding, how it demands your utmost attention and presence as you turn, dip, carve, zig, zag, pop, and slash around - thinking less and feeling more and just letting it rip for no other reason other than it just feels gooddd.

What does your L1 set up look like this year?

Peachy and off black for change!

Do you like the pant leg cuffs the L1 pants?

So much so.

How has your snowboarding evolved the last few years?

Over the last while surfing and transitioning away from contestes has definitely influenced the way I snowboard these days. I still love to ride park but being able to spend more time ripping around the mountain with friends, groomer leg burners, slushy slashes, side hits, snake runs, and pow turns has been key to staying in love with snowboarding for me at this point in my life. I'm loving where my snowboarding is at and most of all I love how much I still love it.

In what way do you want to give back or express yourself within snowboarding?

Snowboarding is an art form, and where there is art there is preference. If, by the way I choose to ride my snowboard, this inspires someone to get off the couch, grab some friends and go shred then that's pretty cool and humbling all at the same time.

Who are the people in snowboarding right now that keep you motivated and hyped on the current stat of snowboarding community and/or direction?

Those that are so passionate about snowboarding that you can see it in the way their whole face lights up when they talk about it - whether it be pros that appreciate just how lucky they are, weekend warriors grinding just to keep the dream alive, or someone I sit beside on the lift that has put their whole life on hold to live, eat and breath snowboarding for a season. I love the way people glow differently when they're living their best life and it's so cool when snowboarding plays a huge part in that.

What’s your favorite thing about L1 Premium Goods?

Quality, style and most of all the family vibe with everyone involved.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Thank you snowboarding!
